Terrorism goes all in: welcome to the new world order

a quick review: with a hat tip to Melanie Phillips at Jewish World Review

The Mumbai attacks accomplish the following very efficiently:

  1. separates Muslims from infidels:  Muslims were spared, infidels were slaughtered indiscriminantly
  2. no negotiations or demands: sends the message this is war and we dont care
  3. targetted India’s center of western commerce and economic growth, demonstrating that the path of comfort and commerce leads to death
  4. challenges US policy makers who have become increasingly self-absorbed with the size of our (so far) $4T bailout (third mortgage actually). If we do not engage worldwide, it will be seen as a step backwards and will encourage more adventurism to find the threshold of US action
  5. targetted Jewish outreach centers to let us know that reconciliation and mutuality isnt desired and will generate more hate, not less.
  6. modern civilization requires mutuality, trust and a measured openness, transparency and vulnerability; this was a strike at every assumption regarding the possibility of raised conciousness and humanity.
  7. India is surely rethinking its policy of publishing a global mapping service competing with Google Earth but 100x better resolution.
  8. Watch for the fallout in the tension and tradeoff between privacy and security, and find then review this reflection on the trade-off of security and liberty,  triggered by research into the source and meaning of the old chestnut, attributed tio Ben Franklin to the effect that “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
  9. Why India? what happens to the relations between Pakistan and India now?  may be the most important international relationship of all right now, as Pakistan is more fragile than ever and , oh yes, HAS THE BOMB.

Questions to ask yourself:

  1. Do you stop to wonder how many sleepers are already placed in the US? You should. And you should give thanks for the sheepdogs that guard us against the wolf in the night.
  2. at what point do you classify these barbarians as animals? do you reason with a rabid dog?
  3. keep pondering why they plot. Time is who’s ally?
  4. Do you consider the Mumbai attacks as a law enforcement issue? the agents of the Caliphate, who these people are, aren’t treating it as such; it was a clear act of war.  welcome to the 21st century
